A Glimpse of Alaska: Jake Rehm

My approach to photography could be described as improvisational. The majority of the photos I take aren’t planned. Instead, I just try to capture quick scenes on adventures. While guiding in Alaska during the summer, there are a huge number of adventures to capture. Every day brings something new; bush plane flights, backcountry trips, exploration into glaciers; and every trip has so many little moments to capture. By not planning shots, I feel that I can chase authentic moments or scenes that spur emotion. I enjoy having every photo linked to a memory or story, this way, each photo feels like a little slice of adventure.
