Leah Button is a junior at the University of Utah studying Architecture and Environmental and Sustainability Studies. She grew up in Salt Lake and has always loved exploring the amazing hiking trails in Utah. Her main hobbies include bouldering, hiking, painting, and playing volleyball. She expresses her love for the outdoors through her artwork as she experiments with vivid colors and patterns that evoke the spirit of Utah and the places she visits. She also enjoys creating mixed media pieces where she utilizes contrasting colors and various techniques to create captivating compositions. Along with her colorful paintings inspired by the outdoors, she is also known for her intricate charcoal commissions in which she commemorates household pets. In all her art, Leah’s goal is to inspire joy, encourage conversation, and foster a world that is filled with more compassion and empathy for the natural world.
